  I went last summer with my mother, grandmother, niece, and her close friend. I booked the room on the telephone after checking the website, and after that my sister had mentioned how horrible, nasty, and completely unsanitary. When I arrived at the hotel, I decided I would check and see if what she said was true. I went to the front desk and told them about what I had heard, and they gave me the key to the room and allowed me to check and see if it was satisfactory. I checked and it was perfectly fine. We had the room right next to the Jacuzzi waterfall. It was a little slippery in the hall, but that was of course because we were next to the waterfall. They promptly gave us our coupon for our breakfast at the cafe and thoroughly explained the pricing for breakfast. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. There was five us of for $25 to $30 that morning for breakfast. It was also all we could eat, which was more than enough. There were many friendly people at the motel including the staff. For example, the guests in the room above ours left the water running in the tub by accident and flooded our bathroom. When we called maintenance they came immediately, not even five minutes after speaking with them. They brought us at least twenty freshly washed towels and many trash bags to gather up anything wet or that needed thrown away. In fact the only problem we had was when my mother wanted to use the bathroom very early one morning. It's quite a funny story. She thought either my niece, her friend, or I was occupying it, but instead the sound she heard was the waterfall outside, which was actually a very soothing sound to fall asleep to at night. After the flooding had occurred in the bathroom, due to the visitors upstairs, my mother clean up the mess and while we were waiting, we went across the hallway to the public restrooms which were extremely clean and very nicely decorated. It's very difficult to please everyone on vacation, but pleasing five women of different ages, which included two 16-year-old girls, at once is next to impossible. We were so pleased actually, we are thinking of coming back for another visit in just a few short weeks.

• Sandra Lion & Delores Reece of Christian View Cloggers writes: We stayed at the Grand Hotel from March 1^st thru 5^th for Simone’s EPIC Clogging Convention.  All employees made our stay very pleasant.  One person, Ms. Pamela Bolton, was especially helpful.  We had to wait one hour for our rental car to be delivered, she extended our room stay to noon to accommodate us and afterwards took it upon herself to watch our baggage until our car arrived. She acted like it was a pleasure for her to do it.  We would stay at the Grand Resort Hotel and recommend it just because of her.
